Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture, Vol. 2: Enter the Dubstep

Dubstep is growing, and here is the evidence… The Wu Tang Clan, one of the most famous hip-hop crew, meets the Dubstep producers for this second volume of « Wu tang meets the Indie Culture ». While the first volume was purely and simply hip-hop (very good album by the way), we can find the best of the Wu’s MCs and of the dubstep producers in this second album. After listening to it the deliverable is quite surprising and all the artists performing well.
From the Wu Tang you will find: Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, RZA, GZA, Method Man, U-God & Masta Killa, and more underground Killah Priest, Bronze Nazareth, Prodigal Sunn, Solomon Childs, Son One and others… And also featuring Busta Rhymes, MFDoom, Pimp C, Three 6 Mafia, Ras Kass, Vast Aire, Canibus, Lord Jamar … And for producers, Scuba, Parson, Trillbass, Dakimh, DZ, Rogue Star, Stenchman, Datsik…
Enjoy it!

The Love Me Nots - Upsidedown Insideout

joni's turbulence
it's still love-week, yes, true. and the inclination was, at first, to go w/ something, say, cheerier--or at least more celebratory. but then i started listening to this one again--joni mitchell's, 'turbulent indigo'--last week and remembered why i've played it so many times over the years(!) joni's hard-eyed, poetic look at the many sides of l'amour quickly pushed all my other february candidates to the side. a wonderfully realized later work from a master songwriter. enjoy!

Song For a Blue Guitar
Red House Painters 1996

This is a love song
A little extra for those who like Bowie, because, besides being one of the most talented and sexy musician of the universe, he's an incredible example of longevity and inventiveness. This one was released in 95.
Kisses to everybody and I'll think about my love song.
And go outside to, because there's not just music in life, there's is also cinema...
(by the way, that reminds me that track 16 "I'm deranged" is in the original soundtrack of Lost Highway, one of the many masterworks of Lynch)
Outside c'est ici
Happy's Valentine's day!! What's your favorite love song??

Keith Jarrett - Arbour Zena - Jazz experimental - 1976
Bonjour a tous,
Hello everybody,
This album is very particular for me because it was has the origin of the learning(apprenticeship) of my ear to the world of the music. My father crossed it in loop the weekend, down from my six years, my body and my spirit were transport by these notes so complicated and has another time so natural.
This music gives way to the silence, the dreaming, and the nostalgia and does not leave indiffèrent as far as we indeed want to make an effort to penetrate into it.
I do not make you the insult present you the artist who is doubtless one of very very big of the music of the XXth century. I can only invite you has to discover the area of its discography and the wealth of this one. If it pleased you I shall propose you the other albums of Jarrett later.
Enjoy the listening (without the crackles of the vinyl, on this version, regrettably)
Renaud (the brother)

Another land
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Second album from Will Bevan, a Dubstep Londonian producer.
Dubstep is Jamaican's Dub made into the slums of big cities.
It's like to spend hollidays in Jamaica under the rain or take a subway in Honolulu.
But Untrue is not dark neither depressive.
This is religious music, this is the hymn of a K.Dick's sect, this is a ghost's choral remixed by an insane guy.
This album just produced me the same effect than Blue lines from Massive Attack, Maxinquaye from Tricky or Entroducing from Dj Shadow. They don't look like eachother, but the first listening's feeling is the sensation of discovering new spaces, a deep diving in an unknown territory.
And Untrue take us on an other planet, born from the fusion of ten different kinds of music, creating an homogeneous entity.
That's all, I'm listening it walking by night in a big city, working on a computer, driving on a highway, but there are 1000 ways of listening it, you only have to let his new tone and his cold poetry penetrate your flabby body.(

Girls - Album
Besos.
aquí lo teneis

Besoin de réconfort?? FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE-LUNGS pour vous servir !!

Florence and the machine était sans doute mon groupe préféré de janvier.

Bowie Live At Santa Monica '72

Elvis’ Ghettoblaster was formed in Brussels back in 1999 with the music of Pavement, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and the Velvet Underground as rolemodel. They got signed in 2001 by Brussels’ Magnet Records, and an album was released in 2002. The band began to play in various parts of Belgium, supporting bands such as Bob Log III, Das Pop , Millionaire, Ghinzu and many others. The members of Elvis’ Ghettoblaster were then involved in other musical projects (Austin Lace, Hallo Kosmo, Rock&Brol parties in Brussels) but soon reunited to record « Love is a schizophrenic hungry monster », an involuntary concept album about relationships turning out badly. Mixed by the Strawberry Girl (Ghinzu, Montevideo, Kris Dane) and Niek Meul (Das Pop), « Love is a schizophrenic hungry monster » reflects the bands’eclectic tastes in music, going from indie pop (« Champagne & Wine ») to electro (« Die Ugly Girls Die»), with some psychedelic bossanova (« Marieke ») and furious rock’n’roll (« Doll », « Fears ») in between.
Par ici la musique !
